In our „Gamechanger Boostcamp: Let’s speedrun your career!“ we offer you a playful approach to tackle the next planning steps in your professional life. After all, why shouldn’t what motivates us in gaming also take us to the next level in real life?
Who is this workshop for?
- For anyone who likes games and wonders how to use the power of games for their lives. However, this workshop is not only a game, it should have real impact for your future endeavours
- For anyone who wants to get to grips with their professional success, whether at the beginning of their studies or already with their first professional experience
- For anyone who is still unsure about what they want to do with their life and is looking for guidance with an open mindset
- For everyone who understands the English language (moderator also speaks German)
- For everyone who can treat each other with respect, regardless of gender or origin

Two 4h days of programme await you: No streaming, but face to face. Get ready for an interesting story, at the end you can decide the destiny (of yourself and the world).
The basic mode is single player. You can’t hide in a group effort, because you are responsible for your future in real life too. However, nobody is forced to interact in front of the whole group. And you will also have the opportunity to exchange ideas with others.
If you have gained something from the workshop and you don’t see yourself as an NPC in your future, you can switch to Creator mode in an optional 3-hour event.
We will show you a new skill tree to start your own projects.
The Story
By chance, we have recently started receiving video messages from a mysterious figure from an alternate dimension of the multiverse. Linguists have managed to translate the language to English and his plan has come to light: the guy calls himself Gamemaster and has already brought his own planet under tyranny with his disturbing visions. A „game“ entertains the masses and people will do anything to play along. Regardless of the losses.
Now he has found a dimensional rift and wants to add Earth as an extension pack for his plans. We have been able to stall him so far, but the Gamemaster has given us an ultimatum: We are to put young people who are currently thinking about the future of their working lives up for election as representatives of our planet: Who will accept the Gamemaster’s tempting offer, or who will resist?
You will be guided through this process and playfully reflect on your wishes for your future work and the path to it. We think about this from the end (vision statements), create personal prototypes, identify your inventory (resource profiles). We also look at obstacles and PowerUps to make it easier to avoid them. Towards the end, we look for allies and learn how to convince others (and possibly the Gamemaster’s minions) of your plans. We combine tools from the fields of gamification, design thinking and social innovation.

If you have other appointments that cannot be rescheduled, we can arrange this, but you will miss out. Ideally, you will need a laptop, as we also work with Miro. Write to us if you would like us to help you with this. The workshop language is English. Otherwise: No pay-to-win, everything is free. However, we expect you to create your personal avatar before you start. You will receive more information about this in the first mission e-mail from us.

What Do You Want?
The first five people to register and participate at the second workshop are guaranteed a one-hour individual training session after the Boostcamp. You can participate as a member of the Higher Education Institutions of the BRIDGE-Network (Hochschule Bremen, University of Bremen, HfK, Constructor University, HS Bremerhaven). If there are more registrations than seats, Internationals and HS Bremen members will be prioritized.

The event is free of charge for participants thanks to external funding. We will show you what to expect and are available to answer your questions.
